A bento for BooBoo

Right: penguin onigiri stuffed with salmon/mayo/wasabi
Top Left: stir-fried broccolini and orange bell pepper, tomato flowers
Bottom Left: chicken drummettes from Trader Joes

It's been about time, eh? Life as a new mom can get pretty hectic, especially when you're working full-time as well. I was home unexpectedly today with the Boo, so I put together a bento with what I had on hand while he napped. Man, I am rusty! =) So the penguin onigiri is made with nori and orange bell pepper, and the "MTG" is red bell pepper.

As you may have guessed, "MTG" are my son's initials (well, the first three anyway). He is now almost 7 months old and is the sweetest boy! I can't wait until he is old enough for mini-bento lunches!

And here's the cause of my lack of updates . . . (He's so cute -- you just can't be mad at him!)

Thank you for the continued readership and for your support by making purchases through my affiliated links for Amazon and JList. I'm still trying to find my footing as a working mom and hope to find the time to update regularly again. In the meantime, I'm still streamlining and editing the site. I apologize if you've emailed me and received no response. I posted my full email address in my last entry and the spambots found it -- my inbox has since been inundated with spam, and I am sure I've missed legitimate emails with questions, requests to update links, etc. If you've written and I haven't responded, please resend to cooking [dot] cute [at] gmail [dot] com.

Thanks and happy bento-ing!
