I ♥ lychee

[bento with gyoza, yakisoba, and fruit]

Top: homemade shrimp gyoza, the best dipping sauce ever (see Recipes), and yakisoba with red bell pepper, carrots, broccoli, and tofu
Bottom: strawberries, mandarin oranges, and lychee

An encore performance by the gyoza today as my hubs missed out due to his business trip (his bento has 5 of them!). I love how easy the yakisoba is to prepare with the fresh noodles and flavor packets -- just add veggies and whatever else you like, and you're good to go!

Lychee are one of my favorite fruits. These are tinned, and are pretty good nonetheless, but fresh lychee is so much better! And I could never have enough delectable rambutans, longans, custard apples, and, my absolute favorite, mangosteen. Ah...tropical fruit. We need to travel to Asia again. I am so jealous of my friends that are traveling to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia this year.
