Thought I was gone forever, eh? Nah. Bento has just taken a backseat due to the daily chaos of my life. Combine being seriously overworked with serious renovations to your house (where the majority of it is covered in plastic and/or rose paper) and you get . . . no bento. At least not regularly anyway. The workers are supposedly going to be finished before the holidays. We'll see, we'll see.
I managed to burrow my way into the kitchen to make this bento for the hubs to take to work today. It is gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan to boot! Jennifershmoo would be proud of me. :) As you can see, I finally acquired a Laptop Lunchbox. Very handy, I must say. And "less embarrassing," my hubs says. Ha ha!
Lastly, just a quick pic of some dessert sushi I made a couple of weeks ago -- mamenori wrapped around sweet sticky rice and fresh fruit. Mmmm!!!
